My name is Stephanie. I was born in 1977. I grew up mostly in Missouri, but I spent 3 years living in The Philippines. I started dating the love of my life when I was fifteen and then I married him when I was twenty. I attended college at what was then SMSU in Springfield, MO and couldn't decide what to be when I grew up. In 1999, my husband and I moved to Vermont so that I could attend New England Culinary Institute. I completed a year of that program and then started work as a chef. When our son, Hayden was born in 2002 we made the choice that I would stay home with him. I opened a home daycare to supplement our income. In 2004 we bought a house in Leicester and got the surprise of our daughter, Cebelle who was born 2 weeks before Hayden's second birthday.
We made the decision when Hayden was in first grade to pull him out of public school and homeschool him. Which means that I now also homeschool Cebelle. And I still have a home daycare. I also have a home based crafting business which did very well in a consignment shop in Brandon. But now that it's closed, my items will soon be for sale on Etsy.
My parents also live with us and we have two dogs and a cat. Though at various times our zoo has included gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, and birds. I have to say that it is not at all what I had planned for my life or even how I dreamed it would all turn out. But I wouldn't trade any of it for anything else in the world.
